Hmmm. I got offered a place doing Master of Teaching at the University of Melbourne! I'd half forgotten that I'd applied.... so now I have to decide once and for all - Canada or uni???

Pretty sure I will go to Canada this year. And apply for teaching again either next year or the year after.

Moving back to Melbourne is tempting though.

It feels great to know that I can get in :-D I wasn't sure if my marks would be good enough..

Well, congrats on getting in. :) Do whatever you feel is right for you. You can always go back.

Congrats! Will they let you defer the offer, or do you have to reapply?

My vote is for Canada - chances are pretty good Melbourne Uni will still be there when you return ;)

Unfortunately I can't defer it. Yeah, that's what I figure.... although other people keep saying Canada will still be there haha.

Anyway pretty sure that I will go to Canada.

It's true either way, but you have more freedom re: Canada if you do it before the teaching degree. I'm biased because I have taken time off at various points before/during my degrees, but I think it makes more sense that way. If you take time off after, I worry that makes it harder to transition to a job (or whatever the next logical step is).
