Oh Canada....

So.... CANADA?!

Elisa and Ian are going to move to Canada next year for a year or two... the other day Elisa said something about me going as well, and now I keep thinking about it. Ian also kept saying I should come.

So I've been looking into it... 24 month working holiday visas for Aussies are really easy to come by, and pretty cheap (A$190), and I'd also have to get a B-2 American visa (US$131) so that I could visit there if I wanted, which I would want. Leeron would definitely kill me if I lived in Canada and didn't come and visit him!

I'm thinking British Columbia - that's where Elisa and Ian will be, and I have some friends in Seattle which is only about 2 hours away from Vancouver. And.... Portland's only 5 hours away. But that is not allowed to be an issue or deciding factor at all. I can't let myself think about that. Of course I do though... :-S *headdesk*

So yeah. That's my current thinking.... summer in Australia, then Canada for I don't know how long... see how I like it and whatnot. Plus will be a good opportunity to see more of North America and travel. And always a plus, put off making any career decisions for another year or two haha.

I have only been thinking about this for 2 days, so we'll see how long it lasts....

Canada is awesome! I lived on the other side of the country though, in Montreal, which is wicked! What I do know about BC is a) lots of aussies, b) lots of weed (that probably could go for all of Canada).

Haven't been to BC properly though, just a snow resort and a day in Van, so probably not completly qualified to comment!
